What Does Mould Removal Cost?
Mould removal starts from €350. The final price depends on the size and scope of the job: how many rooms are affected, how far the growth has spread into plaster, sealant or fittings, and what is needed to stop it returning, such as a new extractor fan or a ventilation unit.

The 1 year warranty
We provide a 1 year warranty on our mould remediation work when the customer accepts and completes the full recommended quotation and scope of works. If mould returns within 12 months of completing the work, a VentSolve surveyor will revisit the property and carry out a full assessment. If the investigation confirms that the mould has returned due to an issue with our workmanship or the solution we provided, VentSolve will carry out the necessary remedial work at our own cost.
What is included in a mould removal quote
Every mould removal quote we send covers four things: treating and cleaning the affected surfaces, replacing what cannot be saved (such as mouldy silicone), the work needed to stop the moisture that caused it, and making good afterwards. Where a fan, a heat recovery unit or anti mould paint is part of the fix, it is listed separately so you can see what each part costs.

How Our Mould Removal Works
- Survey. We look at where the mould is, take moisture readings and use thermal imaging to find the cold spots and damp areas that feed it, including the ones behind furniture and in wardrobes.
- Find the cause. In most Irish homes the cause is moisture that never leaves: a bathroom fan that does not extract, a kitchen without extraction, washing dried indoors, or an airtight house with no designed ventilation. Leaks and rising damp need a different fix, and we tell you if that is what we find.
- Remove the growth. We treat and clean the affected surfaces and replace what cannot be saved, such as mouldy silicone sealant.
- Fix the cause. Usually a correctly sized extractor fan, a single room heat recovery unit for a problem bedroom, or whole house ventilation.
- Protect. Where it helps, anti mould paint on the treated surfaces.
