Home / Decentralised MEV units
A decentralised MEV (dMEV) fan is a continuous-running extractor fitted in each wet room, with no central unit and no ducting between rooms. It runs quietly at a low trickle rate all the time and boosts when the room is in use, so condensation never gets a chance to build up. It is the simplest fix for a bathroom, WC or utility room with recurring condensation or mould, and the usual choice where a central MEV or MVHR system is not practical.
We supply the S&P Eco Air Evo range for 100 mm ducting: up to 108 m³/h on 2 to 4.5 W and from 9 dB(A) at trickle. The Eco Air Evo ST has an adjustable timer and a boost input from a switch; the Eco Air Evo HT adds a humidity sensor so it boosts by itself.
Prices include VAT and are supply only. A new fan installed in Dublin and Leinster costs €450 to €550; replacing an existing fan is €200 plus the fan. Bathroom fan installation and replacement or ask for a quote.
